4 Reasons Why Fall Weddings Are The Best Weddings

Fall Wedding Main Picture

Summer is coming to a close and with that comes the season of pumpkin spice lattes and cozy sweaters. Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer but the heat just isn’t for me. I have always loved the idea of bundled up evening walks and discolored leaves. There are so many things that are great about fall weddings like the colors, fall tree backdrops, stationary ideas, etc. It was really hard but I’ve narrowed it down to the four most important pros of having a fall wedding!

Everything about this color is yes. Be daring with a dark burgundy wedding dress, top your smokey eye off with a matte burgundy lipstick. Maybe you want the white dress and just touches of the dark red with painting your nails burgundy or adding small details in a hair wreath. These are some great ideas on how to make your wedding pop by just adding a little bit of alluring burgundy.

Low Lighting

You’ve said ‘I do’ and it’s time for the evening reception. You’ve chosen to have it outside with all the beautiful discoloured leaves as you backdrop; the sun is going down so how do you light up the night? Dim lighting is the best for fall weddings because it reflects off the trees and gives your reception a warm & cozy glow. You can hang string lights (Bulbed) and add candles all across the table. You can even try adding one-meter battery powered string lights to the tables as well. Add a hot cider to your dessert menu to keep all your guest feeling warm after dinner.

Seasonal Desserts

Warm pumpkin, apple, blueberry, and peach pies. Blueberry granola squares, ginger snap cookies, caramel glazed pears, apple and cinnamon oatmeal, apple crumble and so much more! My mouth is watering just thinking about all the different options.

Table Settings

One of the best things about setting your table for your fall wedding is that it can be very simple and rustic. Off white table cloths, hand made wreaths, tealight candles, dark coloured napkins, and lots of splashes of gold. When adding touches of gold (silverware) try adding little tea lights to the table because it will reflect off nicely.

Well, there you have it ladies and gents! I hope this convinces you to change the date to a fall wedding or convinces you into having one when the time comes. I promise you it will be the coziest day of your life.
