Serena Dyer & Matt Pisoni

Serena and Matt met on February 5, 2009. Joining friends at a dinner party at the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach, Serena happened to be seated across from Matt during the party. Serena continually asked about Matt throughout the night and it just so happened that Matt was doing the same about Serena! The two of course exchanged numbers at the party and nine days later on Valentine’s Day, Matt asked Serena to be his girlfriend. Almost four years later, Matt asked Serena to marry him.

Serena and Matt were engaged for a year and a half before their extraordinary Maui wedding. The wedding festivities took place over the course of a week and included six separate events such as a Welcome Dinner, Rehearsal Dinner, the Wedding, a Sailboat Tour around Maui, a Fourth of July BBQ and lastly – a Happy Hour Party.

The bride’s father, Dr. Wayne Dyer, officiated the ceremony and the bride’s sister sang a special song to the bride and her father during the father/daughter dance. At their wedding, guests were surprised by a fire dancer as well as specially ordered “cronuts” which ran out very quickly! Shortly after the dancing began, all the guests kicked off their shoes and had a great time with sparklers, temporary tattoos and funny accessories the wedding planner brought along as a surprise. For Serena and Matt, the highlight of the wedding was when they each read aloud their personally written vows; there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
